Let me extend my heart-felt gratitude to you all for your support and affection for the Seongnam Arts Center.
Since its opening on October 14, 2005, the Seongnam Arts Center has been embracing the cutting-edge trends in art performance and exhibitions and growing into a community-based cultural complex as an advance guard of culture that enriches and develops local culture in Seongnam.
The center is run by the Seongnam Cultural Foundation funded by Seongnam City. It is engaged in creative cultural projects where local people can have ownership and become creators of culture and art on their own through not only performance, exhibitions and academy lectures but also such remarkable programs as <Sarangbang Culture Club> and Seongnam's version of El Sistema <Eoulio> that have dignified Seongnam and brought about sensational repercussions nationwide.

The center is run by the Seongnam Cultural Foundation funded by Seongnam City. It is engaged in creative cultural projects where local people can have ownership and become creators of culture and art on their own through not only performance, exhibitions and academy lectures but also such remarkable programs as <Sarangbang Culture Club> and Seongnam's version of El Sistema <Eoulio> that have dignified Seongnam and brought about sensational repercussions nationwide.
The Seongnam Arts Center premiered numerous much-talked-about works in Korea, creating a new sensation to the culture and art at home and abroad. Its own production of the musical <Namhansanseong>, whose original work was created by Kim Hoon, led to the sublimation of the historic site into a representative local cultural icon and offered a beacon of hope to other local cultural organizations, demonstrating that a work of art planned and produced by a local cultural foundation can be a nation-wide success.
Such endeavors have made the center one of the top 3 theaters in Korea and its cultural contents that pursue <Civic Happiness Center> through culture and art are sought after as the nation's role model for local cultural and arts projects.
The journey never ends, though. The Seongnam Arts Center is determined to take a new leap forward and keep growing. It will develop contents that are more creative and public-friendly, serve local people with sufficient humility and humbleness, and go hand-in-hand with Seongnam as much as it can. Its ultimate goal would be to bring honor to Seongnam and move beyond the city to the larger metropolitan area and regional culture and arts as a leading <Cultural Hub>.
