Mulbit Garden was transformed from a long-abandoned sewage treatment facility, unused since 1997, into a new cultural complex for citizens in 2025. Its lush garden, the Dumulgil walking trail along the Tancheon Stream, and a diverse program of performances provide visitors with a peaceful and enjoyable cultural experience.
In September 2025, the once-neglected building reopened as a 150-seat chamber music hall. Beginning with its opening concert on September 7, the venue now hosts more than one concert a week, featuring solo recitals, duos, trios, quartets, and string orchestras across a wide range of chamber music genres. Seongnam Mulbit Garden Music Hall is poised to become a new cultural landmark of Seongnam.
In 2026, more than one hundred performances are planned to be presented at the venue under the artistic direction of Geum Nanse while also offering the String Academy and various music programs to enrich the daily lives of citizens through music.
